We are dedicated to increasing public awareness and education about the benefits of preserving umbilical cord blood stem cells. Our Mission is to advance access to life-saving medical therapies, research and cutting-edge treatment modalities in the community by providing umbilical cord blood stem cell services for safe, high quality transfusion products.
Our Goals
Facilitate public cord blood banking in service to the Staten Island community and the underserved surrounding areas by providing current information about the advantages and limitations of cord blood banking.
· Provide all parents of newborns the opportunity to bank their child’s umbilical cord blood stem cells at birth, regardless of their economic status.
· Provide cord blood services for safe, high quality transfusion products using the most modern high quality methods of blood product processing, testing and storage.
· Assure each donor’s safety, and right to privacy.
· Facilitate medical research utilizing adult (non-embryonic) umbilical cord blood stem cells.
